This week's #TheYearToBe___ word is NURTURING.
I got a little bit of a head start on this word last week; although, I didn't know it at the time. My brother and his littles live in The Middle of Nowhere, Arizona, and last week I drove from Dallas to mother and daddy's, then from there to TMON, AZ. (Yes, his town has an official name listed on the teeeeeeeeeny map speck it makes, but The Middle of Nowhere is a much more accurate descriptor.)
Our visits are always far too short for my liking. If I could wish for anything in the world, I'd probably wish that the littles lived closer so I could get to be Cool Aunt Lexi a little more often.
I left them with so many hugs and kisses, I'm fresh out for the next several months...until I see them again.
It's spring in Texas. The April Showers are right on schedule. My grandmother's iris should be blooming soon--the roses, too, that we transplanted all those years ago from her beautiful garden to mine. I'll tend to those and remember all of the wonderful women in my life who have nurtured me.
