THE BLURB: Callie Evans would rather hide out in her DJ sound booth than face the fact that she’s in love with her best friend, notorious campus hottie Tayber King.
Tayber turns hooking up into an art form–no drama, no commitment, no lies, and nobody gets hurt. Nobody but Callie, that is. When she sees an opportunity to explore his sexier side using a fake online profile, she grabs it. Now her uninhibited alter-ego ‘Sasha’ is steaming up the screen, and Callie’s whole life is breaking all of Tayber’s rules.
As Callie and Tayber get closer, online and off, she knows she has to confess. And risk losing him forever.
Full disclosure: I adore Shari Slade. And, in lieu of her official biography (which, if you’re nosy, you can find here) I shall short list why I adore her:
Our meet cute: The day after we met (at Wonko Karaoke in Atlanta/RWA 2013), we bumped into each other washing hands (hooray for hygiene!). After we both smiled in the mirror at each other in acknowledgement and recognition, we started talking. And then we grabbed Starbucks. And then we sat next to each other at a session. (And she didn’t shun me when I made tacky comments!)
She’s one smart cookie.
Miz Shari always makes me smile—even when I’m a crankypants; even when it’s entirely inappropriate and I’m in public huddled over my phone screen with inappropriate church giggles; even when I’m a crankypants. (Yep, that one gets a repeat because anyone who can break through the crankypants is a genius.)
Oh my gravy, this is hard. I have too many feeeeeeelings. If you need me, I’ll be over in my craft room making stop-animation fangirl videos with be-glittered paper dolls. Or, you know, online glitter head shots.
Thanks for letting me host a cover reveal for your debut, Shari. All the <3.
