The Week I Changed My Mind

The downside to #TheYearToBe___ is that I’m always aware of time’s winged chariot. Week five. We’re already in week five of 2014, people!

The upside? I get to laugh. Because this week’s word choice is absolutely ridiculous: ENGAGING.

Charming, attractive, vivacious? Apparently, this is my week to be a Regency heroine.

Too bad I decided to start my week at a random casino in southeast Oklahoma. There is a decided lack of eligible suitors here. A Sarah MacLean novel, my life is not. (Although I do wear glasses.)

You should really check out the Rule of Scoundrels series if you haven't. Really. I mean, one-click all three this moment.

I know you’re thinking, why on earth did she begin her week at a random casino in southeast Oklahoma? Short answer: HEART played Saturday night and then I got iced in. Aloooooooooooooooooone.

Aspiring TO BE engaging this week just isn’t doing it for me. So I am breaking the rules in week five and modifying the word to ENGAGED.

No, no, don’t fret. I’m not seeking out diamonds of the solitaire type. This week I will be fully engaged.

Ambitious, brave, cheerful, decisive, and now engag/-ing/-ed. Not a bad start to 2014.
